The racing year started off at Croix en Ternois, France, in April. The Classic Sidecar races were part of the Camathias Cup. We had two 2nd places at that meeting.
Our next meeting was at Cadwell Park in May. We competed in three races and won our class in all of them.
The next meeting was at Lydden Hill in June. We took part in four races and won the class in all four.
We then went to Chimay in Belgium in July. We had a disastrous weekend. We were fastest in practice so had poll position but did not start the first race. We started the 2nd race but unfortunately had an air leak and holed a piston, which obviously was the problem in the 1st race. The only consolation was we put up the fastest lap of the race.
The next meeting was at Gedinne in Belgium in August. We did not start the first race but we were able to take part in the 2rd race and finished 4th.
We then went to Snetterton in September. We had two 1st’s in class and one 4th in class.
The final race of the year was at Silverstone. We were still having mechanical problems but managed to win our class in the first 2 races. We could not start the 3rd race as we had detonated a piston.
So all in all 2012 was not a hugely successful year!
